In partnership with SOUL OF OKU Museum, Cameroon.
Welcome to the digital 360 degree special exhibition of the SOUL OF AFRICA Museum in Essen, Germany.
Discoveries and secrets from Cameroon and the African Diaspora. Over the past 10 years, the well-known Essen-based photographer and ethnologist Henning Christoph made numerous expeditions to Cameroon, Benin and into the African Diaspora. The discoveries documented and ritual objects collected in the course of this project will be in the exhibition "SECRETS" for the first time and exclusively presented to the public.
You can visit the exhibition at home on your desktop, on the go on your tablet and smartphone or even with your VR headset.
By clicking and holding you can move the room in 360 degrees with the mouse of your computer. On a touchscreen this is done by manually moving the image. With a VR headset you can do so by rotating and moving your own position in the room.
The video clips that start automatically when you enter a room can be restarted after closing using the buttons in the menu footer.
Selected exhibition objects can be viewed in 3D, as images or as videos.
For a more pleasant viewing of the exhibition, these objects can only be recognized and activated after a mouseover or similar.
Due to the large amount of data (ca 5,7 GB) that is transmitted (Videos approx. 2.5 hrs.), we recommend a stable, fast (minimum 50 Mbit/s download) internet connection and a flat rate.
We wish you a pleasant stay in the digital exhibition Voodoo Rainbow and also hope to welcome you in Essen one day.
